National Black Food & Justice Alliance

As part of the hiring process for the Digital Strategist role with the National Black Food & Justice Alliance, I was invited to complete a pre-interview activity designed to reflect the responsibilities of the position. The assignment centered a forthcoming blog meant to accompany The Land, Food & Freedom Journal and expand on its stories, art, and conversations. Using the article “A Grosvenor Manifesto: Black Women and The Politics of Resistance in the Kitchen” as my foundation, I was asked to propose a blog concept, design an Instagram carousel post with copy, and develop a virtual event to further engage community around the piece. My submission wove together cultural research, design strategy, and narrative framing to show how digital storytelling can bridge archival work with accessible, everyday practices.
